Soccer PROMENADE - MIAMI Downtown

RAMP STRATEGY RESOLVES SEVERAL ISSUES: + IT ACTIVATES THE SITE THROUGH ENTIRE YEAR / RAMP IS OPEN PUBLIC SPACE DESIGNED FOR LEISURE + IT ACTS AS A MAJOR CIRCULATION CORRIDOR PROVIDIND THE ACCESS TO UPPER SEAT LEVELS + RAMP CONNECTS EXISTING PLAZA IN FRONT OF THE AMERICAN AIRLINES ARENA AND THE PEREZ ART MUSEUM PARK + RAMP IS AS A ROOF FOR PERMANENT STADIUM THAT IS POSITIONED BELOW SEA LEVEL + IT PROVIDES VIEWS OVER THE BISCAYNE BAY AND MIAMI PORT THIS STRUCTURE BLENDS INTO ITS SURROUNDING IN SEVERAL WAYS. FIRST, IT BOROWS ARCHITECTURAL / STRUCTURAL NARATIVE FROM THE SURROUNDING BRIDGES, HIGHWAYS AND METROMOVERS. THIS WAS PARTICULARLY DONE WITH THE INTENTION TO BLEND THE STRUCTURE WITH THE CITY SKYLINE IF OBSERVING IT FROM THE PORT. HORIZONTAL, ELEVATED PLATFORM SERVES AS A PEDESTRIAN PROMENADE AND IT CONECTS MIAMI’S AMERICAN AERLINES ARENA AND THE PEREZ ART MUSEM PARK. THIS GESTURE WAS DONE WITH THE INTENTION TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE / PEDESTRIANS TO OCCUPY THE SITE, KNOWING THAT MOST OF THE STADIUMS BECOME ABANDONED AFTER THE MAJOR SPORTS EVENTS. RAMP SERVES TO KEEP THIS AREA ACTIV AND OCCUPIED THROUGH ENTIRE YEAR. THIS MEANS THAT 20,000 SEATS STADIUM WITH THE RAMP PROMENADE IS AN ACTIVE CITY SPOT. PROMENADE INCLUDES AN OPEN PLAZA ORIENTED TOWARDS THE BISCAYNE BAY, UNDER WHICH IS THE MARINA.
